This case concerns support for an application to renew a period of stay at the Osaka Regional Immigration Services Bureau involving multiple job changes and delayed notifications.
The Client’s Situation
The client was a Chinese woman who had changed jobs twice in the two years after graduation and was considering a third job change as her residence renewal approached.
She had also failed to submit notifications concerning her affiliated organisations after previous job changes. Alongside the number of job changes, the stability and continuity of employment and compliance with notification requirements were therefore important issues in the examination.
Our Support
We first clarified why notifications for the two previous job changes had been delayed and promptly submitted the required notifications with a written explanation.
Before submitting the renewal application, we then helped organise the procedures for joining the new employer and prepared both the employer’s explanation for hiring her and the client’s explanation for the renewal. We arranged the supporting documents and explanations to convey the circumstances of her job changes, her future duties, continuity of employment and the suitability of the relationship between her and the employer.
Outcome
On May 23, 2023, the Osaka Regional Immigration Services Bureau approved a three-year renewal under the Engineer / Specialist in Humanities / International Services status of residence.
